パステル・アートは、指でパステルの色を紙の上に重ねていく手法を使った面白いアート。指で直接色を塗りつけていくシンプルさの中に、驚くほど奥深いプロセスが体験できる空間がある。手技にとらわれない自由さが好きだ。毎日その日にしか描けないパステルアートをハガキ大の紙に描いていくのが面白そうで、パステル・アート１００日チャレンジを始めた。その時々の自分の内面が正直に現れるので、面白くてやめられない。しばらく、少なくとも１００枚は描き続けてみたいと思っている。

I recently began working with pastels in a way I’ve never done before. An artist friend of mine taught me how to process experiences by applying pastel colors to a small canvas using only your finger. It has allowed me to capture art that can only be drawn in that moment. I’m currently working on a 100 day pastel art challenge – to draw 100 pieces of pastel art through this method.
