私がエカキとしての自覚を持ち始めたキッカケは、２００５年、散歩の途中に立ち寄った古本屋さんで、何となく氣になって手にとった本が、ジュディス・コーネル女史の書いた　Drawing the Light from Within: Keys to Awaken Your Creative Power（１９９７年出版）本だった。「自分の中にある光を描く」というタイトルは勿論、「あなたの中に潜んでいる創造力を呼び覚ます鍵」というサブタイトルも氣になった。

Drawing the Light from Within: Keys to Awaken Your Creative Power by Judith Cornell (1997) changed my path as an artist. This book taught me that with only a pencil and paper, you can create form through the contrast of light and darkness. Images that begin with lines and accompanied by shaded gradations, I never could have realized what this process would teach me about who I am. Welcome to the gallery, “Drawing the Light Within”.
